Basic Info

We have a nice private combo that includes your very own Bedroom with closet, Living/Family Room, and private Bathroom available for rent in our house. That's a total of about 400 ft of your own space.
There is also a sink and a bunch of cabinets with places for microwave, toaster oven, etc. We are looking for some one with good credit and is non smoking; no pets due to others in the house with allergies; no house parties; not very noisy; easy going, no overnight guests, etc. We are looking for some one that is thinking of living here for at least the next 8 Months. We could do month to month after that. Most of us in the house wake up early for work and school, etc., meaning it does not matter if you are a morning or night person as long as you do not keep people awake with excessive noise.
Our house is located less than two blocks from a bus stop for Samtrans that will take you to BART. We are about 2.5 to 3 miles from San Francisco State University (SFSU), City College of San Francisco (CCSF). The weather here is pretty much the same year round which tend to be cool.

Student Accommodation in San Francisco

What do the utility bills cover when renting an apartment in San Francisco?

Utility refers to the water, electricity, heating, garbage and wastewater treatment fees, security fees, Internet and cable TV fees and other miscellaneous expenses that the tenant spends every month. Some landlords will include all these costs in the rent and require tenants to pay them together.

When renting a house in San Francisco, can I cancel the lease at any time after signing the lease?

You may not. Generally speaking, the lease will take effect immediately after it is signed, and neither party can terminate the lease in advance. According to the relevant laws of the United States, if the tenant has signed a long-term lease, he/she shall bear the rent for the entire lease term. Even if he/she is forced to move out, the landlord still has the right to require the tenant to pay all the rent.

Can I go to San Francisco and see the house before deciding to sign?

Try not to. It is best to move in directly after arriving in the United States. Then, the closer the school starts, the higher the rent, and there is no good housing left around the school. Therefore, students, please decide the time you sign according to your actual situation.
