What GPA do you need to get into NYU?

New York University (NYU) does not have a specific minimum GPA requirement for admission, as GPA is just one of many factors considered during the holistic review process. However, to be competitive for admission to NYU, applicants typically have GPAs that are well above average. According to NYU's Common Data Set, the middle 50% of admitted students typically have high school GPAs between approximately 3.7 and 4.0 on a 4.0 scale. It's important to note that NYU considers various aspects of an applicant's academic profile, including GPA, standardized test scores, coursework rigor, extracurricular activities, essays, and letters of recommendation, among others. Therefore, while a strong GPA is important, it's not the sole determinant of admission to NYU.
