This apartment is close to Glasgow International College and the University of Glasgow. Restaurants, shopping areas, cinemas, parks and more surround Vita Student West End. In addition, there is a railway station close to the flat, conveniently located for direct access to all destinations. The apartments offer complimentary buffet-style breakfast, tea and coffee throughout the day.

 

Features & Living Experience

There are 501 rooms in West End Glasgow. Studio rooms are equipped with independent kitchens and bathrooms. The rooms are equipped with 40-inch LCD TVs and 250MB high-speed Wi-Fi. En-suite rooms are also fully furnished with double beds but require a shared kitchen and living room. In the public area, the 119-square-metre super-large gym is open to the students for free. There is also a small supermarket on the ground floor of the flat, so you can go downstairs to buy dry food with your suit. 

 

Location and What's Hot? 

Vita Student West End is close to the supermarket chain Morrisons and Tesco. If you want to avoid cooking, over a dozen restaurants are catering for various diets, such as Tofu, Down To Earth and Celino's. For a taste of British pub culture, Victoria, Storm Queen and Smiddy Bar, which are just a five-minute walk away, are your best bets. From Vita Student West End, the city centre is a 16-minute bus ride east. There is a large shopping centre, Buchanan Galleries, with over 90 department stores, fashion shops, electrical goods shops, gift shops and restaurants.

 

Transport

Vita Student West End is opposite Partick train station and is accessible to the city centre by Scot Rail. The University of Glasgow is an 8-minute bus ride from the accommodation. The University of Strathclyde and the Academy of Music and Sound are a 19-minute tube ride. The City of Glasgow College is a 24-minute tube ride.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

If you are declined a Visa to study in the UK, by UK Visas and Immigration, you may cancel and obtain a full refund if notice is provided to Student Accommodation Supplier before 16th August 2024, unless:
·You did not complete all necessary steps required by UKVI to complete your visa application
· Your university was unable to issue you with a CAS Number to obtain your visa owing to you not completing all necessary steps to complete your application to study.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

Cooling-off period
Unless you have booked a Clearing Room (see special cancellation terms for Clearing Rooms below) you can cancel free of charge if you are within your cooling off period; your cooling off period is 5 days from the date of booking, for bookings made until 27th May 2024, and 48 hours for bookings made on or after 27th May 2024.

No Place No Pay

If you are declined a place to study at a university located in the same city as your accommodation, you may cancel and obtain a full refund, unless:
·You are declined a place for any reason other than not meeting the academic requirements to obtain a place (including, but not limited to, academic or other misconduct, financial reasons, your place being revoked or withdrawing from your application or course)
·You did not complete all necessary steps required by your university to complete your application in time
·The Occupation Period outlined in your Licence Agreement has begun.
If you are initially declined a place to study at university, or progress into the next academic year, you must immediately notify Student Accommodation Supplier if you intend to appeal the decision. Student Accommodation Supplier will confirm to you whether you will continue to benefit from this additional policy during and subsequent to your appeal being made.

1.Cooling-off period

2.1 “No Place, No Pay”

· Your university was unable to issue you with a CAS Number to obtain your visa owing to you not completing all necessary steps to complete your application to study.

Under both additional cancellation policies:
You must supply suitable proof to Student Accommodation Supplier in writing within 48 hours of being made aware of the change in circumstances and Student Accommodation Supplier may request additional information to support your cancellation request to satisfy ourselves of the circumstances of your request.
If at any point you have checked in to your Accommodation, you are unable to cancel your Agreement free of charge and must find a replacement student.
Should you need to make a request to cancel your accommodation under any of the above policies, you should send your request in writing (with supporting evidence attached) to Student Accommodation Supplier.
Once you have booked and your cooling period has elapsed, you are bound into a legal licence agreement which requires you to pay for the full period of the licence agreement.
If your cancellation request is accepted for one of the above reasons, any Advance Licence Fee Payment will be fully refunded to the account from which it was paid.

3.Clearing Room Cancellation Policy
There is no cooling-off period for Clearing Rooms.
You can only cancel free of charge in line with the “No Place, No Pay” policy above.
Outside of these terms, in order to cancel you must organise a replacement student to take over your contract and take over the liability for the License Fee (and you will still be responsible for all payments until a replacement is found). For the avoidance of doubt, if at any point you have checked in to your booking, you are no longer eligible to cancel free of charge and must find a replacement student.
If your cancellation request is accepted for one of the above reasons, any Advance Licence Fee Payment will be fully refunded to the account from which it was paid.

4.Can I leave early and get the remainder of my license fee back?
Unfortunately, you are committed under the license period to pay the full license fee. Student Accommodation Supplier cannot refund your license fee until a replacement is found to take over your booking.

How to pay rent?

The apartment supports logging in to the account, using the TransferMate platform that cooperates with the apartment to pay, or paying by bank wire transfer. 1. To use the TransferMate platform to pay, please log in to your apartment personal account, then select Pay Now on the Booking interface to jump to the TransferMate platform payment interface, then please fill in the relevant information and complete the payment. Please note that the payment mode is that you pay to the TransferMate platform, and then pay to VITA STUDENT after the TransferMate platform receives the student's payment. Therefore, it is estimated that the arrival time after payment is about 3-5 working days. In case of statutory holidays in China and the UK, it will be postponed. 2. Wire transfer payment Vita official currently accepts bank transfers, Chinese wire transfers or transfers from UK bank accounts. The transfer and remittance in the UK generally takes about 1 week to check the update, and the arrival cycle of China's wire transfer generally takes 1-2 weeks. Please note that currently VITA does not have a Chinese bank account, only a British company account. Please use VITA's official account for remittance operations, and operate in strict accordance with VITA's information, and do not trust any information provided by any third party.
