Built in 2018

Vita Student Fountainbridge is a popular student accommodation in Edinburgh, offering a variety of Studio room types. The overall feel of the halls of residence is both subdued and modern, with the walls in the communal areas being decorated with photography of the Scottish landscape. The flats also offer spacious communal areas where students can watch their favourite movies in the cinema room and work out in the gym. Vita Student Fountainbridge is located in the heart of Edinburgh, within walking distance of the University of Edinburgh. Many restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, shops and bars are close to the flats. In addition to this, there is a cinema close to the hostel. The nearest supermarket, Tesco, is a 1-minute walk away. Living here will help students to enjoy the perfect university life!

Features

Vita Student Fountainbridge was built in 2018, and the flats are up to 8 floors with 250 beds. The flats offer different sizes of Studio rooms. In addition to individual bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, they also have personal kitchens and enjoy more private space. It is more suitable for students who are happy to live alone and prefer quietness, providing students with comfortable accommodation. Double occupancy is permitted, and the rent is increased by 20% weekly.

In addition, the hostel offers complimentary breakfast, a standard study room, a kitchen, a cinema room, a gym, a recreation room and other valuable and positive facilities, as well as free bicycle rental and cycling. The halls of residence also organise regular social events, making it easier for students to get to know new people and experience life in the UK so that they can integrate into local life in the UK more quickly.

Location and What's Hot?

The flats are in the historic Fountainbridge area, close to Edinburgh city centre. A Tesco supermarket is just outside the door so that you can make daily purchases without stress. Several cinemas and theatres are within a 5-minute walk of the residence halls, making it a great place to spend a weekend.

The flat is close to Edinburgh Castle, the National Galleries of Scotland, the National Museum of Scotland, and the Scottish Memorial Tower, so if you are interested in the history of Edinburgh, then this flat is a good choice. The flat is also close to Princes Street Royal Mile, all within a 10-20 minute walk. These are some of Edinburgh's most popular leisure and entertainment venues, with a wide range of international cuisine, shops of almost every brand, and many famous tourist attractions such as St Giles' Cathedral, Princes Street Gardens, the Scotts Monument and many more.

Transport

The Edinburgh College of Art  is a 10-minute walk from the flat, and the University of Edinburgh GS Campus is a 17-minute walk. There are several bus stops around the flat, with the number 1, 34, 47 and many other bus routes passing by. The University of Edinburgh KB campus is 27 minutes away by bus, and Heriot-Watt University is 29 minutes away by bus. Haymarket train station is less than a 10-minute walk from the hostel, and Edinburgh airport is 24 minutes by car.

Security and Services

There is a 24-hour electronic access control system with video surveillance, and visitors must pass through multiple electronic gates to gain access to the halls of residence. In addition, there is a free room cleaning service once every two weeks.

Vita Student Fountainbridge FAQs

What is the Advance License Fee Payment I paid when I booked?

When booking an apartment, you need to pay 2 weeks room rate as a deposit. The deposit will be deducted from the total room rate. The payment method is credit card, debit card or bank transfer.

How to pay rent?

The apartment supports logging in to the account, using the TransferMate platform that cooperates with the apartment to pay, or paying by bank wire transfer. 1. To use the TransferMate platform to pay, please log in to your apartment personal account, then select Pay Now on the Booking interface to jump to the TransferMate platform payment interface, then please fill in the relevant information and complete the payment. Please note that the payment mode is that you pay to the TransferMate platform, and then pay to VITA STUDENT after the TransferMate platform receives the student's payment. Therefore, it is estimated that the arrival time after payment is about 3-5 working days. In case of statutory holidays in China and the UK, it will be postponed. 2. Wire transfer payment Vita official currently accepts bank transfers, Chinese wire transfers or transfers from UK bank accounts. The transfer and remittance in the UK generally takes about 1 week to check the update, and the arrival cycle of China's wire transfer generally takes 1-2 weeks. Please note that currently VITA does not have a Chinese bank account, only a British company account. Please use VITA's official account for remittance operations, and operate in strict accordance with VITA's information, and do not trust any information provided by any third party.
