Close to the Western Sydney University. With a maximum height of 3 stories, WSU Village Parramatta offers a variety of room types, including non-suite and studio rooms, to suit different accommodation needs. The non-en-suite room type is more suitable for students who require shared living, while the Studio is suitable for students who prefer private space and independent living. 

 

Features:

Western Sydney University Village Parramatta is equipped with single bed desks, chairs and pinboards, table lamps, wardrobes, ceiling fans, shared bathrooms, lounge with coffee table, TV, dining room with table and chairs, outdoor balcony, microwave, hob and extractor hood, fridge, and freezer, dustbin. WSU Village Parramatta offers a good range of shared facilities, including a relaxed and pleasant swimming pool for a refreshing dip on hot summer days. Each well-appointed room is equipped with air-conditioning. The hotel also provides an electric kettle and a coffee/tea maker for travelers with drinking water needs. In addition to this, the bathrooms equipped with 24-hour hot water are a great place to take the edge off your day.

 

Location and What's Hot?

Western Sydney University Village Parramatta is located in the Parramatta campus area of Western Sydney University. Plenty of supermarkets and restaurants around the flat, Groceries & Spices, SPAR SUPERMARKET, which has a wide range of goods, is about 10 minutes away. For shopping, the Collett Village Shops are very close by, a 4-minute walk away, and the Glasshouse Fragrances Outlet is also a good choice. The restaurants are Restaurant 317 and Thai Westmead Restaurant, which are very good and have a wide range of dishes to suit different tastes. Cafes, The Bakehouse, and McDonald's Rosehill are also nearby, as are banks and hospitals.

 

Transport:

Western Sydney University Village Parramatta is ideally situated for easy access to Pre-Uni New College Parramatta, a 6-minute bus ride. Western Sydney University is a 12-minute walk, Macquarie University is a 21-minute bus ride, and the University of Wollongong South Western Sydney Campus is a 32-minute bus ride away. The University of Sydney is 30 minutes by car. Nine-minute walk to Granville Station, 9 minutes walk to bus stops at Victoria Rd after Brodie St and Dudley St before Crowley St. 20 minutes by car to Bankstown Airport.

 

Security & Services:

Western Sydney University Village Parramatta has 24-hour security, a CCTV surveillance system, and a 24-hour multiple electronic access control system with a video surveillance system; external visitors must pass through many electronic doors to enter the hostel. In addition, the building has its own independent facilities maintenance team.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

If you are an International Student and you do not get your Visa, you may cancel your Resident Agreement within 5 days of receiving notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). You are only eligible for this exemption if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your Residential Agreement start date. If you are within 14 days of your Residential Agreement start date, or if your Residential Agreement has already started, you are not eligible for this exemption.

No Place No Pay

If you are a domestic first year student (domestic Year 12 school leavers only) applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you do not get accepted at the University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

Travel Restrictions

If you are an International Student that has not yet travelled to Australia and you are not able to enter the country due to Government travel restrictions in relation to COVID-19, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.

Classes moved to online only

If your course has moved to online-only teaching, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.
This policy does not apply if you have the option to take your course on campus but elect to take it online only.

Who is eligible?
You can secure your room for 2024 and rest easy knowing that you have the peace of mind to cancel your Residential Agreement for the following reasons:

You do not get accepted into the University
If you are a domestic first year student (domestic Year 12 school leavers only) applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you do not get accepted at the University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

You get accepted into a different University
If you are a domestic first year student (domestic Year 12 school leavers only) applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you get accepted at a different University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

You do not receive a Visa to study in Australia
If you are an International Student and you do not get your Visa, you may cancel your Resident Agreement within 5 days of receiving notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). You are only eligible for this exemption if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your Residential Agreement start date. If you are within 14 days of your Residential Agreement start date, or if your Residential Agreement has already started, you are not eligible for this exemption.

What do you need to do?
You will need to provide CLV in writing, the supporting official evidence demonstrating you meet the criteria within the timeframes outlined above. You will need to provide your supporting evidence to mystudentvillage@clv.com.au including your full name, application number, email and phone number in your email.

Official supporting evidence is:
Declined visa notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)
Notice from UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC or the University that your application has not succeeded
Notice from UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC or the University that you have been accepted into an alternative University


What happens when I cancel?
If you have not yet moved in, you will be refunded your security deposit and any other upfront fees. Refunds will be processed within 30 days. If your contract has already started, you are liable for rent up to the date of notification / moving out of the village and your security deposit will be returned to you provided you have met the move-out conditions.

However, application, registration and cleaning fees (where applicable) are non-refundable.

Where will the Free Cancellation Policy not apply?
The policy will not apply where you have accepted a University Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies, or if you change your mind about where you would like to stay.
